The challenge this project addressed was the design of the website at the time featured an excess of plugins, most of which weren't essential to the functionality of the website. In terms of User Experience, Users found the existing design difficult to navigate and had a hard time locating the resources they wanted from the website.
Because of the excessive amount of now outdated plugins I made the decision to start with a clean slate in designing the new website. It was very important for me to spend time understanding the needs of site visitors, modern wordpress plugins and using this information to select components that would ultimately deliver the resources desired in the most effective way possible.
The final design created a website that is easy to navigate, update and maintain and that effectively delivers the functionality site visitors desire whilst providing a modern look and feel.
